    Comments:
  • New Harmony is a town located in Harmony Township, Posey County, Indiana. It was established by the Harmony society in 1814. New Harmony is best known for being the location of a social experiment led by social reformer Robert Owen in 1825. Although Owen's attempt of a utopian community failed due to economic difficulties two years later, New Harmony later became a center of education and scientific research (wikipedia.com).
