Berlin Pavillon (Hansaviertel)

    Comments:
  • The Berlin Pavillon is located in the street of June 17, corner Klopstockstraße in Berlin's district Hansaviertel . It was built in 1957 by Hermann Fehling , Daniel Gogel and Peter Pfankuch for the International Building Exhibition Interbau. The pavilion, built as an entrance hall to the Interbau, housed an exhibition in 1957 to rebuild Berlin's Hansaviertel. In addition to the 450 m2 exhibition area, the low-rise building had several conference rooms and a restaurant. After an extension of the kitchen, cellar and staff rooms by Daniel Gogel in 1987, the building was used until 2003 by the senate building administration to organize exhibitions. After being sold by the Property Fund in 2003, it was rebuilt by architects Petra and Paul Kahlfeldt for new use as a Burger King branch , which eventually opened in December 2005. (wikipedia.org)
